Haiti: first black led postcolonial independent nation in the world, and the first Caribbean nation to gain independence. Tiny country of just 8 million. These three Haitian kids, with their dance, their laugh, their attempts at teaching me French- made Ottawa memorable!

It took me an entire year of hating Ottawa to finally sink my roots into its very heart. And now that I feel at home, I'm leaving it.
It has been a month full of angst, I don't want to give Ottawa all up!
